  • In order to register, you must be a currently enrolled college or university student in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. All majors and classifications welcome.

  • This hackathon isn’t like other competitions. Yes, there will be prizes, but the fun is in the journey - not the destination. Take pride in the new thing you learn to make.

    If you REALLY want to know about the prizes, judges will pick winners for each of the different making categories. Categories and prizes will be announced at the start of the hackathon (And trust us- the prizes are good).

  • There is no team limit. You can compete as an individual or as a group of friends. As long as you make one new thing during the course of the hackathon.

  • This event is 100% free for students. Be sure to thank our sponsors when you see them!

  • A hackathon is an event where people engage in rapid and collaborative making over a relatively short period of time (8 or 48 hours). The Dot Hackathon will last 12 hours, from 9AM to 9PM ET.

  • Not at all! This is a making hackathon where both analog and digital projects are welcome. If you want to learn how to code, there will be workshops. But there is no CS requirement!
